ANNOUNCING OUR

2021 HYBRID MOSES LAKE AIRSHOW!

We have some great news!

At 5:00 PM May 14, the Airshow organizers received approval from Washington State health authorities to move from ticketing per car to individual Airshow tickets.  We are so relieved.  We have seen that many of you out there were feeling the same frustration we were.  Please know this was something we, the state, the county, and the Port of Moses Lake were working towards all along, we just could not make any changes until the fortunate conversations yesterday afternoon.

We can now proceed as a “hybrid” Airshow.  To have the airshow in this less restrictive mode, we must still maintain the following Covid protocols:

  1. We must continue to provide Drive-in parking spaces for attendees who prefer to have a reserved private parking spot where they can picnic/tailgate unmasked while enjoying the airshow.

  2. We must provide designated 10’ x 10’ areas for small, unmasked groups to occupy to consume food they bring/buy from vendors and enjoy the airshow.

  3. Since we will not violate your privacy asking about your medical history, we will not keep track of who is vaccinated.  However, because of this, we will require all attendees and staff walking outside of their reserved parking or marked small group areas to wear facemasks.

  4. We must all work together to ensure reasonable physical distancing and that crowd sizes remain under 50 at any one display in the static aircraft display area.

  5. We must all work together to keep physical distancing in lines for food trucks and other booths that may be on site.

  6. We must maintain ample attendee ingress/egress space to/from the general parking areas to accommodate reasonable physical distancing.

While not completely back to normal, we are delighted to bring Central Washington the largest near-normal public event since Covid arrived.

Our team is working to update the Airshow website and ticketing information.  Look for the changes to be in place Monday.

To accommodate these new changes on the airfield, we have a critical need for young adult volunteers several days before the airshow to set up the event.  If you are willing to help, please fill out the volunteer form on our website or contact Larry Wheat directly at (206) 819-2352 l wheat2083@gmail.com.

We sincerely appreciate everyone’s cooperation and understanding as we navigate these difficult times.  We look forward to bringing you a GREAT SHOW and can’t wait to see you there!

Will there be onsite food?

We absolutely encourage that you bring your own food and soft drinks (and WATER). We ask that you not bring any BBQ's, grills or cooking stoves to ensure that safety and comfortability of others around you in parking areas. We will have food truck available on site this year and are open now to registration for all interested Food Truck companies. We ask that our attendees please honour this policy, as County/State Health Officials will have the ability to shut the show down if crowds refuse to comply.

Why won't there be any alcohol involved?

We ask that our attendees please honour this policy, as County/State Health Officials will have the ability to shut the show down if crowds refuse to comply.

Can I meet any of the performers?

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, there will be no meet & greet available at this year's airshow. We understand this may be disappointing to our attendees, but the utmost safety of both our attendees and our performers is our top priority.

Do we have a schedule yet for this year's Airshow?

We are still figuring out the specifics! But you can find our rough itenary for this year's Airshow on our home page here: https://www.moseslakeairshow.com/

Can I bring my trailer, RV or motor home?

Please note that due to spacing limitations, we will not be accepting any Motor Homes, RV’s or Trailers at this year’s Moses Lake Airshow. We simply just don't have the space this year, but we hope to be more accomodating to all vehicle types at future airshows.

What should I bring?

We are probably looking at a very warm weekend on June 17-19th, 2021! The most important thing is that you stay hydrated and cool during your fun day at the airshow. Make sure you bring: 1. Water or some cool soft drinks (non-alcoholic) for you and your friends/family. 2. Snacks (there will be on-site food, but we encourage you to bring your own snacks! No BBQ's or Grills allowed) 3. A hat, sunglasses & sunscreen! 4. If you are walking in, please consider bringing a Lawn Chair, Cushion or Picnic Blanket as we will not have seating available. You are allowed to bring fold-up chairs (we just ask no tents, pop ups, beach umbrellas, etc. due to them becoming hazards in high winds). You may bring a personal umbrella if you can secure it to your wrist. 5. Binnoculars (Don't miss out on the action!) 6. A camera (make some memories with your family and share with us @moseslakeairshow
