Have you ever seen a jet doing a full aerobatic routine in a small confined space? That’s just what you’ll see at the 2020 Moses Lake Airshow. Returning this year is Mini Jet Airshows.

Tom “Lark” Larkin’s dream was always to perform at Airshows in a “mini” jet having watched the BD-5J perform as a child, For Larkin, it’s all about the “high energy” aerobatic routines and interactions with kids. The “star” of Mini Jet Airshows is a modified SubSonex Jet, it is fully aerobatic and has been flying for almost three years, this particular aircraft was the first kit from the Sonex factory in Oshkosh, WI to be sold and flown.

After a brief stint with radio-controlled airplanes, Larkin started flying lessons at age 19 while in college and earned his private pilot license. He received an Aerospace Engineering degree from Georgia Tech and later entered the Air Force for pilot training. Larkin is currently a pilot, instructor, and evaluator in the 737 for a major airline. He has participated in aerobatic competitions in various aircrafts models but now performs exclusively in the SubSonex Mini Jet.
